Ujjain is district of Madhya Pradesh state in middle India and it located in north of the upper limit of the Vindhya mountain ranges. The city Ujjain is administrative center of Ujjain district and Ujjain division and situated on the eastern bank of the Kshipra River. According to the Indian census 2011 Ujjain has a population of 515,215 of which female are 250,344 male are 264,871 respectively with sex ratio is 945 per 1000 males and child sex ratio of girls and boys is 929/1000. Ujjain has been selected as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission and it's one of the 100 cities of India to be developed as smart city. Ujjain is an important place of pilgrimage for Shaivites, Vaishnavites and followers of Shakta.
