Agartala /əɡərtəˈlɑː/ is the largest city as well as the capital of Tripura state and also is the second largest city in North-east India, both in municipal area and population. Agartala is a component of two words, 1; "Agar", a kind of oily valuable perfume tree, with suffix "tala", a store house. The area of the Agartala Municipal Corporation was 76.504 Sq. Km and the population was 438,408 at 2013.
