How to reach Badrinath

By Bus: Badrinath is well accessible by road. it’s placed at a distance of 525 metric linear unit from city & 296 metric linear unit from Rishikesh. There area unit regular buses operative to Badrinath from city, Haridwar and Rishikesh.

By Taxi: Vehicle cost is anywhere around Rs. 2500 depending on the type of vehicle.

By Car: A good driver have to drive which have experience 10-14 hrs traveling a day. After Rishikesh night traveling by car is dangerous.


Delhi to Haridwar ( by Bus/Train/Car based on your budget) and take a night halt. Start early morning by hiring a Vehicle so that you can reach by evening but if you start even a bit late then you may need to do a Night Halt at Joshimath. Joshimath to Badrinath is approx 40 kms but will take 2-3 hrs times as its a one way road and the gates are opened at some fixed timings.

Plan 5 day trip Delhi to Badrinath

Day 1 :Reach early morning to Haridwar, it’s hardly 6-hrs by road from delhi. Explore Haridwar and attend Ganga Aaarti .Night-halt @ Haridwar

Day 2 : Leave early say by 7:30 – 8:00 for Joshimath. You will reach post-lunch. Night-halt @ Joshimath

Day 3 : Leave early for Badrinath. Bath at Tapta-Kund. Quick Darshan Ticket for avoiding long queue. Visit Mana, the last village on Indian side of Indo-China Border. Return Journey to Joshimath. Evening short trip to Auli, if interested. Night-halt @ Joshimath.

Day 4 : Leave early for Rishikesh. Reach post-lunch. Explore Rishikesh and attend Ganga Aarti.

Day 5 : Free for rest & relaxation

Day 6 : Depart early to your home by bus or car. For train go to haridwar or Dehradun.
